Day One – Saturday 27th December 2008

On day one, guests will familiarise themselves with one of the most famous artist enclaves in the world – Saint Paul de Vence.

Day Two – Sunday 28th December 2008

On the second day, guests are invited to enjoy a private guided tour of St Paul de Vence, visiting impressive attractions such as the Fondation Maeght, which features works from some of the world’s most famous artists, including Matisse, Miro and Renoir. In the evening, guests can enjoy a ballet performance at the world-renowned Monte Carlo Opera.

Day Three – Monday 29th December 2008

For the third day, visitors have the opportunity to take part in the Hinterland rally with the use of an original collector car. Benefiting from a briefing, each team will be provided with a road book detailing stages of the race before they set off to discover characterful Provencal villages, enjoying traditional activities along the way, such as local produce tastings and pétanque – a French form of boules.

Day Four – Tuesday 30th December 2008

Day four brings the chance to spend the day sailing around the exclusive Sainte Marguerite Island in Cannes. Guests can learn about the Island’s interesting 3,000-year history recounted by a Native, before enjoying a gourmet Mediterranean-themed lunch and an after-lunch tour of the coast on their private catamaran.

Day Five – Wednesday 31st December 2008

On day five guests can enjoy a relaxing day spent lazing around their heated swimming pool or strolling through the villa’s expansive gardens. In the evening, Sanctuary Retreats’ New Year package includes a four-course dinner at Le Palais de la Méditerranée in Nice. Offering wonderful views across the Côte d’Azur, guests can see in the New Year in style and dance and drink their way into 2009.

Day Six – Thursday 1st January 2009

After partying until the early hours, Sanctuary Retreats’ special package offers the perfect remedy to a sore head and tired body – a relaxing massage by a professional masseur in the peace and tranquillity of the guests’ villa. Adding to the special treatment, hand made French pastries will be served on the terrace by a French cook.

Day Seven – Friday 2nd January 2009

Inspired by the beauty and light of Saint Paul de Vence, guests can embrace their inner artist on day seven and take part in a private painting class with a qualified painter/teacher, all in the beautiful surroundings of the villa. In the evening, a professional chef will visit the villa to cook a traditional French dinner for guests to enjoy on their last night.

Day Eight – Saturday 3rd January 2009

Guests return to the airport to make their way home on the eighth day.
