These boats used to transport rice and spices around the area, and contemporary tours often include visits to spice plantations.

Trips to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary are also a must, with the promise of travelers seeing elephants, monkeys, buffalo, wild boar and occasionally tigers. The city of Cochin boasts the oldest European church in India, St.Francis’s Church, a Dutch Palace and a variety of antique shops in Jew Town.Trips are concluded at some of India’s beautiful beaches.
