Britain's Prince William is gearing up for a visit to Birmingham next week.
The 31-year-old royal will tour the city's new library and community facilities, visit homelessness charity St Basils' Carole Gething House and stop by Summerfield Community Centre during his whistle-stop tour of the West Midlands city, Kensington Palace has announced.
His first stop on Friday, November 29, will be the recently opened £188 million Library of Birmingham, where he will take part in a children's reading group and listen to a poetry recital.
William is then expected to head to St Basils' Carole Gething House in Small Heath to meet staff and young residents and learn about their work with the End Youth Homelessness Alliance, a movement spearheading by local organisations and Birmingham City Council to curb homelessness amongst youngsters.
He will also visit Summerfield Community Centre in Winson Green to meet people whose lives have been affected by the Birmingham riots of 2011.
The Duke of Cambridge and his wife Duchess Catherine visited the city shortly after the incidents, and William is keen to see first hand how things have changed.
The royal will finish off at the recently redeveloped South and City College, which is working closely with the local community following the riots, and speak to several organisations who have been promoting community cohesion.
