Britain's Queen Elizabeth II will visit Malta in November.

The 88-year-old monarch will be joined on the trip by husband Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, for the opening of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
The planned visit will see her attend the biennial summit after missing the 2013 event in Colombo, Sri Lanka; the first time she was unable to attend the meeting in 40 years.
At the time, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said she would be staying in the UK as they reviewed "the amount of long-haul travel that is taken by the Queen," and although she has scaled back her engagements in recent years, it has been confirmed she will make the trip to Malta for the event, which takes place from November 27-29.
Queen Elizabeth II last visited Malta in November 2007 to celebrate her 60th wedding anniversary with her 93-year-old husband, as the couple spent their early married life living on the southern European island between 1949 and 1951.
In September, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, visited the country for its 50th anniversary of independence, while Prime Minister Joseph Muscat last year revealed the Queen was "keen" to make a return.
