When to start potty training

The answer will be different for every child, most are around two and many are nearer three before they even start to show signs that they are ready. What's important is for parents to identify the signs that their little boy or girl is ready to start toilet training and helping their little one learn how to graduate to undies with HUGGIES® Pull-Ups®.

That's why HUGGIES® Pull-Ups® have developed the 8 signs of readiness to help you determine when your little one is ready to start.

Once you can identify three of these signs, then you and your little one are ready to start on your potty training journey.

Dealing with potty training set-backs

So, you have started potty training your child and feel the two of you have developed the knack of using the potty when suddenly they become bored and start having frequent accidents.

This is a common struggle that most parents will have to deal with but with a little guidance and encouragement, your child can quickly get back on track. What's important is to remain consistent throughout, never show signs of frustration of give your child negative attention for any accidents they may have, as this may cause them to become disinterested and continue to have further mishaps.

Ensure you provide your child with plenty of positive praise every time they use the potty, as this constructive reinforcement will give them a real sense of achievement.

Using HUGGIES® Pull-Ups® potty training pants

HUGGIES® Pull-Ups® potty training pants, with their fun Disney® graphics, offer a unique and practical approach to potty training. The only potty training pant equipped to help children learn the difference between wet and dry, the pants draw moisture away slowly, as well as having fading graphics to help children recognise when they are wet.
