Getting back into work after having a child can something that mothers dream of.
Having a small sense of freedom and a little more 'me time' where they get to do something that they're passionate about, enjoy doing and they get to have a real conversation, and not just baby talk.
However, over the years we've been led to believe that 'abandoning' our children and getting back into the office can effect our children in the long-run.
Academics at University College London have however now found that there were 'no detrimental effects' resulting from mothers going back to work.
It's best if a child is brought up in a home where both parents go to work, as their mothers are less likely to be depressed, the study found.
So don't worry, if after a year off is all you can think about is getting back to work - it's human nature.
Plus, the report found children of single mothers and those in homes where both parents are unemployed the children are much more likely to behave badly by the age of five.
