Spending time with the family is something that you can’t put a price on. Sharing special moments and making many memories is what quality time is all about. But parents are prone to acting a little out of character at times, which leaves you unexpectedly cringing in your seat.
If this sounds familiar, you are not alone. Watching TV/movie sex scenes with your parents is the nation’s number one cringe.
According to a new survey, 57% of Brits find watching sex scenes on the TV with their Mum and Dad the most cringe-worthy activity.
The research study by TV channel Gold marks the launch of You, Me & Them’ (started Wednesday 23rd October)-TV Channel Gold’s first scripted comedy-which tells the story of Lauren and Ed who are madly in love, despite their 20 plus-year age gap. The channel asked 2,000 respondents to reveal the things about their parents that embarrass them the most.
The study also showed that 40% of the people surveyed cringe at their parents who use slang, such as; YOLO, OMG and LOL.
A further 36% admitted that public displays of affection between their parents would also turn them red-faced.
Dad’s mid-life crisis behaviour such as buying a sports car, dying his hair or investing in designer sunglasses caused embarrassment for 34% of the respondents.
