Bullying will not be tolerated
Whether verbal or physical, bullying at school or in the workplace is something that no child or adult should have to endure.
Unfortunately now this is not the only thing we have to be wary of as with increasing popularity of social networking sites and hi-tech mobile phones comes cyber-bullying.
The spread of malicious video content across the internet can be very upsetting for people. What may seem like harmless leg-pulling to a group of friends could lead to great distress to anyone on the receiving end of the abuse.
A new video has been released by the UK's Department for Children, Schools & Families which shows how there is a fine line between amusing playfulness and threatening behaviour.
The video aims to spread the message that cyber-bullying will not be tolerated.
A recent study of 15,000 children conducted by the National Centre for Social Research revealed that half of all 14-year olds have been victims of bullying and now cyber-bullying is becoming increasingly common.
The importance of the issue has helped to sustain support from the music industry. In November NDubz released 'R U Cyber Safe' as the anthem for Anti-Bullying Week, while BBC Radio 1 has been playing its part through Radio 1 'Bullyproof'.
