Robinsons have launched their first squash, which is made entirely from naturally sourced ingredients.
It comes at a time when a growing consumer trend has revealed 48% of shoppers cite natural ingredients, as one of the most important considerations to them and their family, when making food and drink choices.
With this in mind Robinsons be natural drink is designed to designed to appeal to mums and kids alike, by offering great value at just 9p a glass.
Robinsons has a long history of making delicious squashes, and the current brand range is found in over half of UK households.
They were the first squash brand to respond to consumer demand by removing all artificial colours and flavours from its products, and now it’s taking this a step further by creating Robinsons be natural.
Brits drink 37.3 million glasses of squash every day, the equivalent of four Olympic sized swimming pools, and with squash sales increasing and smoothies sales rapidly decreasing, Robinsons hope its new be natural brand will satisfy consumer demand for natural ingredients, and fill a gap in the market.
Robinsons also hope the launch of be natural will further build upon the historically strong sales of squash, during summer as parents recognise the need to keep children hydrated during the warmer months.
Robinsons dietitian, Julie Dean, comments: "With kids more active and playing outdoors during summer, it’s important to keep them well hydrated so they’re bright, healthy and alert. Drinking a delicious tasting squash is an easy way for parents to get their kids to drink more during the summer months."
Being free from artificial preservatives, Robinsons be natural must be stored in the refrigerator after opening and consumed within three weeks.
The slim 600ml plastic bottles, perfectly designed to fit in the fridge will be available in the ambient squash aisle alongside original Robinsons, the UK’s No.1 squash brand.
Robinsons be natural is available in three exciting fruit flavours - Orange & Passionfruit, Apple & Strawberry, and Blackcurrant & Pear, and will be available at the end of March in leading supermarkets, priced at £1.49.
