For the launch of Disney’s new High School Musical computer game, Makin’ the Cut!, out today (19Oct), for the Nintendo DS, Disney interactive studio have carried out a survey.

The survey asked over 2000 parent what career they would most like their children to follow. A staggering 50 % said they would most like their children to be a sports star like Jonny Wilkinson, and only 1% wanted their children to follow in the footsteps of Gordon Brown by going into politics.

25% said they wouldn’t mind, that if their children didn’t make it as a sports star, if they became solicitors like Ally McBeal.

Becoming a solicitor like Ally McBeal – 25% of vote
Becoming a teacher like Miss Honey from Matilda – 15% of vote
Becoming an entertainer like Zac Efron (Troy from High School Musical) – 6% of vote
Becoming a journalist like Trevor McDonald – 3% of vote
Becoming a politician like Gordon Brown – 1% of vote

High School musical’s Makin’ the Cut! allows fans of the show to be in the limelight themselves. Included in the new game are songs and dance routines from both the films. It gives fans a real feel of what it’s like to be a member of the High School Musical cast.

High School Musical: Makin’ the Cut! Is an addictive rhythm-based game, which allows fans to take the leading role by creating their own routines and High School Musical movie clips. The game also gives fans the chance to take their favourite character to compete in a series of musical competitions across the U.S. to win the national title. Players can also create video clips from their own choreographed routines, which they can then share with their friends.
