Do you know an 11 - 18 year old who has an idea or is already creating change? If so, boost their confidence and life skills and help your local community at the same time: Nominate them for a CHANGEit award. Whether it’s a scheme for reducing litter, making a dent in street crime or setting up an after school club, CHANGEit encourages young people to take their ideas and make them happen.

CHANGEit, run by Common Purpose and supported by Deutsche Bank, will award prizes to young people for their campaigning projects and fantastic ideas. Campaigns can be big or small and deal with any issue or challenge. The judges are looking for passion, innovation and the determination to really make change happen. It has nothing to do with academic achievement or exam grades, but everything to do with helping young people make positive change happen. There are three different categories to apply for with prizes up to £750!

Nominations open 1 October 2008. To find out more and advice from this year’s winners, TV presenter Ben Shephard has the full story...
