The family of late Jamaican reggae artist and global icon Bob Marley have now launched what they're calling the "world's first global cannabis brand", titled Marley Natural.
Used to sell lotions, creams and various other accessories that are infused with cannabis, it's a brand that's being developed with Privateer Holdings based in Washington state, and stresses the legacy and life of Bob himself.
His daughter Cedella Marley says that her father would welcome the business move, respecting their idea.
She explained: "My dad would be so happy to see people understanding the healing power of the herb".
Chiev executive at Privateer Brendan Kennedy, said that Marley was "someone who, in many ways, helped start the movement to end cannabis prohibition 50 years ago.
"It was just a natural fit between Bob Marley and this product. You know if you were to look for the most famous human being who ever walked the face of the earth related to cannabis, it would be Bob Marley."
Embracing cannabis as part of his Rastafarian faith, Bob Marley had always supported its legalisation before he died of cancer back in May 1981.
Cannabis used for recreational purposes is now legal in the American states of Washington and Colorado.
Several other states could be close to following suit and others are already permitting the sale of marijuana for prescribed medical purposes.
