Following their Radio 1 playlisted single â€œI am the Messageâ€ earlier this year, Fightstar will be releasing a new single; the first on their new label, Search and Destroy.

â€œThe English Wayâ€ which is about our broken English society, and how to try to rebuild it, will be released in three formats; on CD, 7â€ vinyl and as a digital bundle. The b-side tracks feature vocalist Charlie Simpson on drum duty, as drummer Omar Abidi is currently nursing a broken hand. Amongst the b-sides is a song originally written and recorded by songstress Imogen Heap.

The band have also hooked up with MySpace who will be giving members the chance to win a party at their school with Fightstar, Kate Nash, The Wombats and Ironik. The school with the most votes wins the party!

Singer Charlie Simpson said â€œWe are always excited to play a show with a twist, and Iâ€™m sure this will be no exception. Itâ€™s a great opportunity to be given and we are really looking forward to rocking out in a local school!â€

Fightstar have been writing and demoing tracks for their next album all summer â€“ only venturing out for a few headline festival shows, and to open the main stage at the Download festival. Now they have been confirmed as main support to Feeder for October/November â€“ and will also play some of their own headline dates.

The London show at Proud Galleries will double as a record release party for â€œThe English Wayâ€. The dates in full are:
