Following their Radio 1 playlisted single âI am the Messageâ earlier this year, Fightstar will be releasing a new single; the first on their new label, Search and Destroy.
âThe English Wayâ which is about our broken English society, and how to try to rebuild it, will be released in three formats; on CD, 7â vinyl and as a digital bundle. The b-side tracks feature vocalist Charlie Simpson on drum duty, as drummer Omar Abidi is currently nursing a broken hand. Amongst the b-sides is a song originally written and recorded by songstress Imogen Heap.
The band have also hooked up with MySpace who will be giving members the chance to win a party at their school with Fightstar, Kate Nash, The Wombats and Ironik. The school with the most votes wins the party!
Singer Charlie Simpson said âWe are always excited to play a show with a twist, and Iâm sure this will be no exception. Itâs a great opportunity to be given and we are really looking forward to rocking out in a local school!â
Fightstar have been writing and demoing tracks for their next album all summer â only venturing out for a few headline festival shows, and to open the main stage at the Download festival. Now they have been confirmed as main support to Feeder for October/November â and will also play some of their own headline dates.
