Killswitch Engage rocker Adam Dutkeiwicz was so burned out by the band's constant touring, he suffered a breakdown last year.
The group embarked on a punishing schedule of concerts to promote its self-titled 2009 album, and frontman Howard Jones announced in February that he'd quit the road trip due to "unforeseen circumstances".
Now it has emerged Jones wasn't the only member of the band suffering on tour - guitarist Dutkiewicz had a breakdown when he returned from summer festival dates in Europe.
He tells Kerrang! magazine, "When you're on tour all the time and never really at home for a good period of time, it gets to the point where you get scared. When I came home over the summer, I started feeling like I was a visitor. I had a bit of a mental breakdown, it was a really, really awful feeling.
"When I had time to myself at home, it felt amazing to just drive to the grocery store. I would love to run errands and be a normal chap."
