KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist ADAM DUTKIEWICZ is to undergo surgery to repair a crooked finger.
The rocker suffers from a hereditary condition which causes one of his digits to bend out of shape over time. He will go under the knife later this year (11) to straighten the troublesome finger - but the repair will only last a few years before he will need more surgery.
He tells rock magazine Kerrang!, "My crooked finger is actually a genetic disease that my parents have given me - thanks mom and dad! The doctors have to rip it open and straighten it out. It's bulls**t... (It) tends to come back over time, but this will buy me another five years or so. I'll have to worry about it for the rest of my life."
However this is not the first surgery Adam has had, back in 2007 Adam went through an emergency surgery on his back.
The surgery was a success but at one point he told music radar " that he thought he wasn't going to be able to play in Killswitch Engage any more - to travel and tour."
