David John
David John has something of a modern day fairytale to tell. Born and raised just outside of Glasgow, singer-songwriter David had nearly given up on his dream of stardom, when a chance meeting on holiday changed his life forever.
Spotted by an A&R while jamming with his friend’s band, he was asked to send in a demo (recorded in his friend’s tiny garage in Ayrshire) - within days of sending it off he was summoned to New York and immediately signed to Violator (home to P Diddy, Mariah Carey and Busta Rhymes).
David’s feet haven’t touched the ground since. He’s been recording in New York and Atlanta (at music mogul DJ Eddie F’s studio) with legendary producers and writers such as Maddscientist (Leona Lewis, Mario, Nicole Sherzinger), Grammy award-winning Heavy D & The Boyz, Jayshawn Champion (R. Kelly, Faith Evans, Usher) and Corey 'Chorus' Gibson (Babyface, P. Diddy, Rodney Jerkins).
In the summer of 2010, 50 Cent was so impressed with David’s early demos, that he personally invited David to support him on his sold-out European stadium tour where he won fans across the media, including Perez Hilton.
With his attention now firmly focused on the UK, David John is getting ready to take over the charts and dance floors alike, with his lead single Mr. Fantastic.
Written by David John and hit machine Lil Eddie (Kylie, Jay Sean, J Lo) and produced by Mickey Modelle & Steve Ingham (Jessie J), Mr. Fantastic also features a heavy remix from Pacha residents Sympho Nympho (Erick Morillo, Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero and Jose Nunez.)
