Lemar is set to release his new single Weight Of The World from the already critically acclaimed album The Reason.
Weight Of The World is the second single to be taken from the album following on from If She Knew released towards the end of last year.
Weight Of The World is produced by Jim Jonsin (Lil Wayne) and captures Lemar’s soaring heartfelt vocals, backed by an infectiously heavy, bass driven electro track.
5 years ago, Lemar released his debut album Dedicated, ushering in a new exciting juncture in UK soul music. Since then, Lemar has become the most successful black British soul artist of our time, commandeering the UK’s radio airwaves with the hit singles 50/50, Dance (With U), If There’s Any Justice and Its Not That Easy. With 3 top ten UK albums, Lemar has sold well over 2 million albums, and most notably been awarded 2 MOBO Awards and 2 BRIT Awards. Â
On Weight of the World, Lemar says “"Teaming up with legendary hip hop producer Jim Jonsin, was incredible. The song was written in Miami and is based around the idea of not being able to get over someone who has already moved on.  The tone also reflects the uncertainty that people may face this year, but at the same remembering good times and hoping for change" .'
