The single, also taken from the Senegal-born, US-based superstar’s new multi-platinum album ”Konvicted”, features the one and only Snoop Dogg and looks set to give Akon another huge chart smash. Up until a couple of weeks ago Akon occupied the numbers 1 and 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Smack That” and “I Just Wanna Love You”. The success of the new single and album follow on from Akon’s UK debut where he scored a number 1 double with his triple-platinum album “Trouble” and monster smash hit single “Lonely” (600,000 sales). “Konvicted” continues this astonishing success with over 1 million sales being racked up in a matter of days after release. Almost entirely produced by Akon, “Konvicted” features guest appearances by aforementioned Eminem (Em produced “Smack That”), Akon’s artist T-Pain, Snoop Dogg and Styles P.   Akon scored unprecedented success, both in the UK and the US, with his smash hit singles “Locked Up” and “Lonely”.“Lonely” stayed on the Billboard “Hot 100” chart for 3 months and hit the #1 song in the UK along with his album.
