Tinie Tempah has had the stakes raised to achieve a second consecutive chart topping track after his previous group Nu Brand, which he left to pursue a solo career, have decided to rival their old band mate by releasing their forthcoming single Runway on June 7th, the same date that Tinie looks to release his track Frisky.
In a market contested with many emergent’s of the grime scene, including Dizzee Rascal, Chipmunk, Wiley and Tinchy Stryder, it seems Tinie Tempah will have more to contend with as his former band move from strength to strength.
Already being tipped as the MTV Base Up-and-Coming Band of the Month and featuring a political track on Newsnight and BBC Breakfast in the run up to the General Election, Nu Brand are also looking to support Example and Pendulum at the end of the month. The grime war has commenced.
So, who are YOU backing?
