Jamie Hartman set the airwaves alight earlier this year with New Year, the first single from his upcoming album III, and this week he is back with Girlwise.
Personally Girlwise is one of my favourite songs off the album and I am delighted to see him release it as a single as it is an upbeat and fun track.
Hartman has always been a great lyricist and with Girlwise that trend continues as he sings about finding love and being blown away by this person in the early stages of the relationship.
This song is just so catchy, it’s one of those that you will be singing for the rest of the day; the chorus is so infectious it’s not even funny.
There is a real calm feeling to the incredibly melodic verses before the chorus kicks in, it goes hand in hand with what he is singing about; the chorus is almost like giving into these new feelings that are being discovered.
Hartman just has this knack of penning the perfect pop song, and everyone should check out his new album III next week because it is full of them.
He is also such an easy to listen to artist as he has quite a laid back vocal style that is so rich and full of different tones.
Girlwise is a perfectly formed pop song that you won’t be able to help but sing along to.
