Olly Murs may have lost out to Joe McElderry in the final of the X Factor, but the Essex boy is well a head in the sales of his new album.
Both of their albums are released this coming Monday - November 28 - and Amazon have released the statement that Olly is taking the lead in the pre-order battle.
Olly's new album 'in Case You Didn't Know' has already racked up more than three times the pre-orders Joe's 'Classic Christmas' has achieved to date at Amazon.co.uk.
"We've seen a huge number of The X Factor stars - past and present - releasing albums in the lead up to Christmas this year and in next week's battle between former rivals Olly Murs and Joe McElderry, Olly's new album 'In Case You Didn't Know' is chargin ahead in the pre-orders," says Paul Firth, head of music buying at Amazon.co.uk Ltd.
"With Olly set to perform on this Sunday's The X Factor we would expect to see that lead increase significantly in the same way that both Rebecca Ferguson and One Direction pre-orders rocketed following their appearances in recent weeks."
