Lostprophets star Ian Watkins is "on suicide watch five times an hour".
The 36-year-old singer - who is preparing to stand trial following allegations of raping a baby - has been told to move from Bridgend prison in south Wales to a psychiatric hospital after a clinical psychologist recommended that he receive anti-psychotic medication.
The details emerged yesterday (13.08.13) as the 'Rooftops' hitmaker appeared at Cardiff Crown Court via video-link for a pre-trial review.
Ian's defence barrister Sally O'Neill, told the court: "He is on suicide watch five times an hour.
"He has been seen by a clinical psychologist and she believes he should be receiving anti-psychotic medication.
"She wants him to be taken to a secure hospital for assessment and treatment."
The vocalist has been charged with: Conspiracy to rape a child aged under 13; conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a child aged under 13; possession of indecent images of children; making indecent images of children; distributing indecent images of children and possessing extreme pornography, but he denies all charges.
His co-accused - two English women who cannot be named for legal reasons - also appeared in court yesterday for the pre-trial, but while one woman - a 24 year old - denies all charges against her, the other, a 20 year old - has admitted to sexually touch a minor and distributing indecent images.
The case was adjourned until October 14 and all three are remanded in custody.
