Tinie Tempah and Laura Mvulu have been announced as the musical entertainment that will open this year's EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday, February 16 at The Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden.
The pair have collaborated on a track on Tinie's latest album 'Demonstration', called 'Heroes'.
Laura said: “I’m really excited to be opening the show with Tinie Tempah - especially as it's been such an amazing year for film. It's definitely a bit scary when I think about who will be there but we're going to put everything into the performance and it's a big song so it really lends itself to film.”
Tinie added: “I'm extremely excited to be opening the 2014 EE British Academy Film Awards performing 'Heroes' with the incredible Laura Mvula. As an internationally renowned British institution, it's a huge honour to be performing there. This song was inspired by film scores and theme songs so I'm looking forward to showcasing what British music has to offer in front of the world's film industry elite.”
The event will be hosted once more by Stephen Fry, and broadcast exclusively on BBC One in the UK.
www.bafta.org will also feature highlights from the red carpet, exclusive photography and interviews with winners on the night.
