Sam Bailey - 'The Power of Love'
5 Seconds of Summer have hit the top of the UK singles chart with their song 'She Looks So Perfect', and are joined at the peak by Sam Bailey who released her debut album 'The Power Of Love', following her X Factor win last year.
The Australian boyband 5SOS should be happy to claim number one with their debut UK release, after becoming the fourth Australian group to top the UK singles chart - the first since Madison Avenue's 'Don't Call Me Baby' in May, 2000.
Sam's album is the first X Factor winner's debut record to debut at number 1 since 2009 with Alexandra Burke's 'Overcome', and has become the fastest selling artist album of 2014 so far beating Pharrell Williams' opening week of 69,000 with 'G I R L'.
“This really is the icing on the cake to an incredible few months,” said Sam in an interview with officialcharts.com.
“I’ve worked hard to get where I am and I’m so happy that everyone is liking what I’m doing, it really is a dream come true!”
