Speaking exclusively to Total Access, Olly Murs has opened up a little more about his new album and being replaced as presenter of The X Factor.
He said to presenter Elliot Holman of his new material: "'Wrapped Up' and 'Troublemaker' were great songs for me, but they were generic pop records. They were feel-good, dancing, having a good time. This one has a message in it. It had me in it, proper me. All these songs mean more to me than all the other songs I've ever done.
"Even though the other songs had me, the cheeky fun guy, 'You Don't Know Love' is really from the heart and it means a lot to me. I think it is a banger. The reaction's been fantastic but even if everyone hates it I'm still going to like it."
Murs added of Dermot O'Leary regaining his role as host of The X Factor: "It's old school - it's a formula that's worked before. Louis, Sharon, Simon have always done well together, they're a funny bunch. Nicole is incredibly sexy. And obviously Dermot is Mr X Factor.
"I think it's a bit like Chris Evans coming into Top Gear. Chris Evans is not a bad presenter - he's amazing and one of the best - but when you fill in for someone like Jeremy Clarkson there's very big shoes to fill. Bit like when me and Caroline did X Factor. What Simon's done is brought back a lot of the familiar faces. I'm sure it'll be a success."
Total Access is broadcast every weekday at 7-10pm across all of Wireless Group's local stations, and the 'best of' show is broadcast on Sundays at 7-9pm on Virgin Radio.
