Kimberley Walsh has no plans to write songs with Nicola Roberts.
While 'The Promise' hitmaker is a big fan of her Girls Aloud bandmate and close friend's solo material and song-writing capabilities, she won't be following in Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's footsteps and joining Nicola in the studio to work on new tunes together.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I think our days of girl bands are done! We're women now, we're all on different paths. Nicola's doing really amazingly with her solo song-writing, Cheryl's obviously going to have a really big year and I'm going to be the complete opposite, being at home starting a family.
"We haven't got any plans to work together in that respect, but it's really nice that they've been able to write and produce together because I think it's easier to write for people that you know."
The pregnant singer admits she mostly doesn't miss being one fifth of Britain's biggest girl band, which was put together on ITV reality show 'Popstars: The Rivals' in 2002, because she enjoys the challenge of performing solo.
She explained: "It's a lot more pressure performing on your own but it's a lot more challenging as well. Because I'm a bit [weird] like that, I love the challenge.
"I got a lot out of throwing myself in the deep end really and seeing if I could swim. But then it's always nice to go back to the comfort of the girls, and have them round you and the camaraderie."
