Michael Jackson’s private physician Dr. Conrad Murray faces a fight to keep his medical license - California prosecutors have filed court papers seeking to suspend it.
The doctor, who is accused of administering the anaesthetic Propofol which killed the King of Pop, has pleaded not guilty to one count of involuntary manslaughter, but has already been barred from administering such drugs.
And now, California Attorney General Jerry Brown wants Murray to stop practising medicine as part of the terms of his bail. Officials at the Los Angeles coroner's office determined that Jackson died from "acute propofol intoxication" in combination with the use of sedatives.
In a statement, Brown has called Murray's conduct "reprehensible". The doctor has denied any wrongdoing.
