The Jackson family are allegedly afraid that Conrad Murray's medical licence could be reinstated.
The disgraced doctor, who was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to four years in prison in November 2011 as he administered the lethal dose of Propofol that led to Michael Jackson's death in 2009, had his licence revoked in Texas and California as a result of the felony, and the King of Pop's family fear he could harm someone else if he is successful in his bid to regain the right to practice medicine.
A source told gossip website TMZ.com that most of the late 'Thriller' hitmaker's relatives are "both offended and afraid" that he thinks he has the right to still be a doctor after he acted so recklessly with Michael.
They also think that his appeal is being driven by greed but have no plans to appear at any medical board hearings about his licence as they don't want to have any more dealings with him.
It was recently reported that Murray, who was released from jail two years early last Monday (28.10.13) due to overcrowding and his good behaviour, is taking the State of Texas to court in a desperate bid to win back his medical licence so he can pay off his $400,000 debt.
But his attorney previously said: "Dr. Murray has an unquenchable desire to help people, and no matter where it is, he will return to his given profession of healing."
