Paul Weller is battling it out with the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Corinne Bailey Rae and Biffy Clyro for this year's Mercury Prize 2010 : Albums of the Year.
The rock veteran's 10th solo studio offering Wake Up The Nation has been hailed as one of the best 12 British albums of the past year, but he'll face stiff competition from other solo nominees Dizzee Rascal, Corinne Bailey Rae, Laura Marling as well as bands Biffy Clyro, Foals, I Am Kloot, Mumford & Sons, The Xx And Wild Beasts.
William Hill has put Dizzee and The xx as joint 4/1 favourites, with Paul Weller, Corinne Bailey Rae, Laura Marling and Mumford & Sons close behind at 6/1 but personally we're rooting for Biffy Clyro.
The winner will be announced at the Barclaycard Mercury Prize Awards Show on September 7.
