Macmillan Cancer Support has announced its line up for the Big Mix 2011 and by the looks of it, it promises to be the best one yet.

Formally known as the Brick Lane Takeover, all proceeds from the day will go towards helping the charity support those affected with cancer in many different ways.

It is set to feature a number of acts including musicians, comedians, fashion designers and artits across venues in Shoreditch, London.

BBC Radion 1 DJ, Edith Bowman will hit the decks on June 18 to play a range of indie and alternative music.

She is a long time supporter of the charity and said: "I love how Macmillan have put the Big Mix together - they've got everything in there from folk artists to  burlesque.

"Sounds like the perfect way to spend a sunny Saturday in London if you ask me. I cant wait."

John Kennedy, XFM's new music legend and music loving actor, Rupert Grint are both patrons of the event and are there to support the day and the events.

Newton Faulkner signed up to the Mix along with LA's Charlatans front man Tim Burgess holding a rare live DJ set that isnt to be missed.

On top of this, there are two comedy venues, hip hop karaoke sessions, art and photography exhibitions, swing dance lessions, cabaret show and a chance to pick up some clothes designed by some of Britains freshest talent.

A Mighty Boosh pod will be set up where guests can have their likeness taken as well as the chance to see bands such as Spy Catcher, Town, Yunioshi, New Town Kings and I Am Harlequin perform.

The Big Mix will take place on June 18 and tickets are availible from Macmillan.org.uk.
