Returning with his new single No Love Like First Love is Ronan Parke; a young man who may look familiar to many, thanks to his time on Britain's Got Talent on ITV all the way back in 2011. Now, all grown up, he's looking to become a hit of the music industry once more. Celebrating his return, we got the artist to answer 10 quickfire questions, so we can find out a little more about him.
1. Where did you grow up and what’s your funniest childhood memory?
I grew up in Norfolk in a little village called Poringland. I cannot pick just one funny childhood memory, I have such a crazy family who I adore so much, so something hilarious happens every day, but I’m sure the funniest would be something my brother did, he’s so funny!
2. Where would be your dream place / stage to perform on?
I always said my dream place to perform would be the O2 Arena, but I performed there during the Britain’s Got Talent tour. Perhaps to one day go back and perform my own headline show. That would be unreal.
3. What is your favourite album of 2018 so far and why?
There’s too many to choose from! The Carter’s album, because it’s Beyoncé and Jay-Z; I mean, name a more iconic duo at the moment! Sweetener by Ariana Grande; her voice is just amazing and I feel like she just gets better as she progresses. Shawn Mendes’ album because the songs are just so great and relatable and I think he has such a wonderful voice, I’m a huge fan! Those are my top three so far!
4. Who would you love to duet with?
Lady Gaga. She’s my idol. I’ve been so lucky to have seen her perform live around 4/5 times now, and every time she does not disappoint. Her creativity and fearlessness on stage and musically is so inspiring to me.
5. What are you other hobbies apart from music?
Travelling, socialising and binge-watching TV shows! I’m currently obsessed with Power on Netflix, Bodyguard on BBC and I've just finished all seasons of Unforgotten. However, I’m yet to find a television programme that I’m more obsessed with than Scandal. Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope is just a match made in heaven. I’m not going to lie, I’m slightly heartbroken they’ve finished it!
6. What is your favourite memory of your BGT experience and are you still in touch with any of the contestants?
I would have to say the audition. I went into that experience with no expectations and was so lucky and overwhelmed with the reaction I received. I am still in contact with the winner Jai McDowall, he’s so talented!
7. Who were your favourite BGT judges?
Amanda Holden and Michael McIntyre were so supportive and sweet to me, but Michael is no longer a judge so I’d have to say Amanda, she is just wonderful.
8. If you had to change your name, what would your new name be, and why would you choose that name?
I think it would be Leo, because it’s my star sign and I’m so proud to be a Leo.
9. If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?
I hope it doesn’t sound too morbid, but I would love to know what really happens after people pass away and if there is an afterlife of some kind or not.
10. What other fun facts should we know about you?
I can roll my R’s really well, I have a really annoying vein that sticks out on my forehead every time I laugh, my favourite city that I’ve visited so far is Venice and I have the most gorgeous golden Labradoodle called Lola!
