Earlier this year, Ronan Parke, a 13-year-old boy from Norwich, walked timidly onto Britain's Got Talent’s vast stage to sing his version of Nina Simone's Feeling Good.
He looked angelic, all eyes and fringe and nervous disposition, a little boy thrust into a very big occasion - where he brought the whole theatre, including the judges to a standing ovation.

In the months since the Britain’s Got Talent Final, in which he ultimately came second to Jai McDowell, Ronan has toured the nation's arenas, performing each night to screaming fans, and has signed to Sony Music.
And he has just entered the studio to record his first album- Ronan Parke - produced by Stephen Lipson (Will Young, Jordin Sparks).
The album includes a selection of 12 classic songs which, when it is released on October 24th will highlight his remarkable way with a pop song, and remind everyone just what a natural born singer he is.
The focus track from the album is a fantastic cover of Vanessa Carlton’s A Thousand Miles which Ronan reinvents as his own.
The piano part in the song is played by Paul Gbegbaje - the young pianist from this year’s Britain’s Got Talent. Other standout tracks on the album include an original composition by Gary Barlow - Stronger Than I Am-; the big musical classic Nina Simone’s Feeling Good, Cee Lo Green’s Forget You; Coldplay’s Fix You; Kelly Clarkson’s Because Of You and Eva Cassidy’s Song Bird - to name a few.
His potential, meanwhile, is snowballing, and if early indication is anything to go by, then Ronan might just prove to be a British Justin Bieber, a globally adored popstar with a following in the multi-millions. A daunting prospect for anyone, but once again Ronan himself seems to take it all with a pinch of salt.
