With Kid British you are hearing new millennium UK. A walk in any city will give you the flavour of garage, the boom box explosion of hip hop, the Specials rudeboy bonhomie, the clatter of indie and all this is incorporated into Kid British.
Even their name says it all, young and British - growing up in a multi cultural melting pot where pop music is up for grabs and is great fun… I caught up with the boys for a quick chat.
Hello there, what are you up to?
Getting ready to record a special cover track and then getting ready for our gig in Manchester tonight. Then we are all of to Glastonbury at the weekend.
You are also set to release Our House Is Dadless on July 6th tell us a bit about it…
It's basically about what each one of our houses was like growing up.
Is there a meaning behind the title we should know about?
The song sample's "Madness- Our House" and we eventually realized that none of us mentioned our dad's in the song's verses so we decided to call the track "Our House - (Is Dadless)" because three of us grew up in a single parent household.
So to anyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of listening to you yet, how would you describe the band in five words?
Simeon, James, Adio, Sean & Music ( LoL )
And you’ve got a sexy album, It Was This Or Football, what one song should those naughty computer geeks download illegally from the album to make them go out and purchase the full album?
Each one of our tracks are quite different to the other because we have many different influences but we'd have to say.......... "Lost In London" because it is a crowd favourite.
If you could cover another band’s song, what would it be?
We already chose to cover Katy Perry "Hot 'n' Cold" and people seemed to like our version too, so check it out.
It’s also the festival season at the minute, are you going to any of them?
Yeah Glasto as we gave away before ha ha, iTunes Festival, Underage Fest, V-Fest, Wakestock, Wickerman and a few others up and down the country, we can't wait, hope the weather is good for the Summer too.
What three bands would you have to headline your dream festival?
Bob Marley, Beatles & Prodigy
If you could only listen to one CD for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A double compilation CD of "The Greatest Song's of The Past 40 Years"........Ha
Okay, now we want to ask you some random questions; On an airplane you are talking pleasantly to a person of average appearance. Unexpectedly, the person offers you $10, 000 (£5, 000) for one night of sex. Knowing there is no danger and that payment is certain, would you accept the offer?

Name an experience which features an animal that you will never forget.
The "Our House Is Dadless" Video which included a Husky Dog which bolts after Simeon, Adio and Sean and whilst we we're shooting the scene Simeon was so shook from the Dog running straight at him barking, that it made him fall over, it was a classic. What one thing did you always want as a child but never get?
(Simeon) A paper round, my my Mum wouldn't let me have one because it was dark out.
We also ask everyone we interview to come up with a question for the next person we interview, and Shinedown want to know; “Do you fold or crumple? As in when in the bathroom do you fold or crumple the toilet tissue?”
We fold, surely crumpling could become messy.

If a 24 hour convenience store is open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, why are there locks on the doors?
