Don't worry, we're not going to sit here and put down the genuis that is 'Blurred Lines', we merely want to discuss it's other video.
As you may or may not know, the music video to the UK's Number 1, Blurred Lines, is not the original. There is another, dare I say seedier version, circulating the realms of the internet. This video features the same cast (#Thicke, Pharrell and TI), with the difference being that the three featured models parade around topless, and are wearing nothing but a skimpy, nude coloured thong.
Now, while this may be appealing to you men out there, to a woman viewer it just seems pointless, and we're left questioning why exactly the other video was made.
It's no secret that the models got payed a very handsome amount of money for the gig, and were apparently very comfortable with being naked, but aside from that, its hard to see why they agreed to do it. The clean version of the video is just as good, and in my opinion, better. The fact the girls have exposed themselves to the world has put them in a different light, and could hinder their career's direction considerably. All three have got stunning faces, but your attention is kind of taken away from that when they are topless.
I agree that there is a degree of choice, and that the girls probably didn't want to turn down the chance to work with names as big as these, but with looks like that, they were bound to make it big anyway!
And is it just me, or does the video make #Thicke look a bit desperate? I have no doubt that he has a wealth of fans, that I really don't want to upset, but they way he acts around those girls just gives me the creeps. And the balloons? Come on, leave something to the imagination. Having to state that 'Robin Thicke has got a big d***' really makes you wonder if he's all talk.
Don't get me wrong, I think the song is fully deserving of the top spot, and I have been giving it endless support since I first heard it, but the video part needs work. Stick to the clean version guys, trust me, it's just better.
