La Roux are a funky British electropop synth duo made up of singer and synth player Elly Jackson, and co-writer and co-producer Ben Langmaid.
Making waves in the chart this year with their debut, For The Kill, the pair have fused their love for 1980s synthpop - including the likes of Yazoo, The Human League, Heaven 17 and Blancmange - with the odd 2009’s fashions.
Elly Jackson knows all about fame too, being the daughter of actress Trudie Goodwin and her on/off love life provided much of the inspiration for their debut album.
He partner in crime, Ben, prefers to fade into the background and also works as a London based producer and composer who has been involved with other music projects in the past but has finally found in La Roux the suitable project to let his long term passion for 80s electro-pop shine through.
We’re glad for it!
