The Lock Up Stage line up, at Reading and Leeds festival, was announced yesterday. Acts that will play this stage include legendary bands Social Distortion, from California and Florida’s Less Than Jake.
Mike Davies, the Punk Show presenter on BBC Radio 1, will be hosting the stage this year. Commenting about the line up he said “Having an incredible Punk Rock line-up every summer has become a standard for the Lock Up Stage... and this year is no different. Old favourites, new heroes and even surprise guests... we have it all and it will be one hell of a festival.”
Other bands that will grace the stage from the 24-26 August include: Gallows, Bouncing Souls, Anti-Flag, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Turbonegro, A Wilhelm Scream, Every Time I die, Saves The Day and Trash Talk. As well as these acts more acts will also be playing such as, Touche Amore, Good Riddance, The Skints, Ceremony, Polar Bear Club, Random Hand, This Is Hell, Star Fucking Hipsters, The Flatliners, Dead To Me, Apologies I Have None and Pettybone.
Acts from the Dance Stage were also added. Modestep, Grimes and DJ ZINC will be joining the likes of Katy B, Jaguar Skills, Metronomy and Azealia Banks for the weekend.
The final act to be announced for the Main Stage is Welsh indie band Los Campesinos! Many more acts are still to be released for the NME/Radio 1 Stage, Festival Republic Stage, BBC Introducing Stage and the Alternative Stage.
