Placido Domingo has brushed off criticism of his opera stage comeback after his performance in Milan, Italy on Friday night was booed by some members of the audience.
The tenor's first performance since undergoing surgery for cancer in March came in a production of La Scala - and while the majority of the crowd applauded Domingo for the three-hour show, his opera return was marred by a few fan heckles.
But the 69 year old is refusing to let the negative reactions spoil his comeback and insists he is not offended by the incident. He tells Reuters, "La Scala is always La Scala. There were one or two people... They are entitled to their opinion. I think for most people it was a really lovely evening."
