Whether you like the movies in the series or not, the Transformers franchise is one of the most successful of the modern day and continues going from strength to strength. With at least two more films slotting their way into the series later this year and next, new details are beginning to emerge as to what fans of the franchise should expect.
The franchise then took to their official Facebook page to reveal the plot synopsis for the upcoming movie. It reads: “The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).
“There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive; theirs, or ours.”
The plot synopsis arrives in time for the Super Bowl where a major trailer release is expected to happen. There is always the chance however that the trailer will drop in full ahead of the game. Check out a teaser from the ‘Big Game Spot’ below:
Transformers: The Last Knight is released in the UK and the US on June 23, 2017. Bumblebee is scheduled for release on June 8, 2018.
