Susan Boyle is set for a big screen kiss in her forthcoming film 'The Christmas Candle'.
The 52-year-old singer - who makes her film debut as church warden's wife Eleanor Hopewell in the new movie - will be seen locking lips with on-screen husband James Cosmo and the singleton reveals she "wasn't complaining" about the steamy scene.
She said: "I have my very first husband -- which is very exciting. It's been a long wait. I had to kiss him, too, as we had a kissing scene. It was my first on-screen kiss. It was lovely.
"I didn't know about the kissing scene when I signed up, but I wasn't complaining. I won't take this any further in case I embarrass him."
The on-screen smooch has got Boyle thinking about her own love life and inspired her to search for a partner of her own so she can settle into a relationship.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I want to find a man but it's hard with all the travelling I do. I really want to start going on dates and I've asked my friends to set me up with a good man -- if they can find one. I'd like to settle down one day."
Boyle initially only signed up to work on the film's soundtrack but was given a bigger role as producers were impressed with her acting ability.
