Straight Outta Compton has remained top of the U.S. box office for a second consecutive week.
There was no movement for the top two films this week as Straight Outta Compton, which seems to be hitting a note with fans, took a further $26.7 million to easily hold off the challenge from Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation.
Rogue Nation - which has already been a number one movie in the U.S - was also a none-mover this week as it stayed put at number two. So far, the fifth film in the popular franchise has grossed in excess of $438 million at the global box office.
Sinister 2 was the highest new entry inside the top ten as the horror film opened at number three. The movie comes three years after the release and success of the film first as Ciaran Foy takes over the director's chair from Scott Derrickson.
Hitman: Agent 47, which is the second film based on the hit computer game Hitman, was new in at four, while The Man from U.N.C.L.E. fell two places from three to number five.
American Ultra was the third and final new film inside the top ten, as it opened at number six. The movie sees Kristen Stewart reunite with Jesse Eisenberg for the first time since Adventureland. Nima Nourizadeh is in the director's chair for the action/comedy.
The Gift was a two place faller this week as the psychological thriller - which is the directorial debut for actor Joel Edgerton - was down from five to number seven. Ant-Man was also down two places as the Marvel film fell from six to eight.
Minions, which continues to perform well at the global box office, fell just a single place to number nine this week. Fantastic Four was this week's biggest faller as the superhero film - which has struggled with the critics - fell six places from out to number ten.
