Producer gives update on National Treasure 3
Producer of the National Treasure franchise, Jerry Bruckheimer, has stated that National Treasure 3, with Nicolas Cage in the lead role once again, is still in development.
Cage played Benjamin Franklin Gates in the film series, a man hell-bent on writing historical wrongs, and a descendant of treasure hunters. Despite people saying the films have somewhat crazy plots, they are considered fan favourites; both films were also box office hits.
Recently, Bruckheimer was asked if he planned to work with Cage again anytime soon. The producer gave an exciting update, stating that he adored Cage and is currently working on a script.
National Treasure 3 seems to be slow going, however, as Cage has stated he hasn’t read a script for the movie, nor has he been contacted by Disney...
First images of DC’s Blue Beetle have been released
An exciting look at set photos from the Blue Beetle live-action movie show Xolo Maridueña in the DC character’s full costume.
The feature centres on Jamie (Maridueña), who finds a powerful alien scarab that turns him into the hero known as Blue Beetle.
A Twitter user by the name of @_MarvelMania_ was one of the first to see the costume directly from the film’s set.
Many fans on Twitter are heavily praising the outfit, which is incredibly accurate in relation to the concept art released a year ago. The costume was designed by Mayes C. Rubeo, who also worked on WandaVision and Thor: Love and Thunder,
Blue Beetle is expected to release on August 18th, 2023.
Daniel Brühl and Macaulay Culkin join cast of Rich Flu
Marvel’s Daniel Brühl and Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin have joined the cast of Rich Flu, a movie in which a deadly virus targets the wealthy.
The new actors will join Rosamund Pike (Johnny English: Reborn), the film’s lead, as the rich of the world try to understand the virus that’s picking them off one by one.
With no idea when the disease may end, the whole world becomes lost in panic, and the wealthy begin to sell anything they can to avoid the virus.
Brühl, known for his portrayal of Helmut Zemo in the Marvel Universe, has recently been making a name for himself outside the franchise, while Culkin has been testing the waters as he edges his way back into the entertainment industry.
Upcoming Emma Roberts movie gets trailer
Emma Roberts (American Horror Story, We’re the Millers) is set to star in upcoming horror movie, Abandoned, which releases on June 17th, 2022.
Roberts plays Sara, a young mother struggling with postpartum depression who, along with her husband Alex (John Gallagher Jr.), move into a new house only to feel like it isn’t as peaceful as they’d hoped.
The feature also stars Kate Arington as the couple’s realter, Cindy, as well as DCEU (DC Extended Universe) actor Michael Shannon (Man of Steel) as their unnerving neighbour.
The new trailer suggests that the home’s past and odd atmosphere isn’t exactly a secret; the couple appear indifferent to the tragedy Cindy tells them about, and still wish to move in.
However, Sara may not be taking her medication, there’s a door that leads to God-knows where, and paranormal events become a daily occurrence...
Mads Mikkelsen set to star in King’s Land
Mads Mikkelsen (Doctor Strange, TV’s Hannibal) has recently joined the cast of upcoming period drama, King’s Land, joining forces with A Royal Affair director Nikolaj Arcel once again.
The feature is based on the book The Captain and Ann Barbara by Ida Jessen, and tells the tale of a military captain who is encouraged by Danish King Frederik V to cultivate the unwelcoming lands of Jutland in 1755.
Mikkelsen will be portraying Captain Ludwig von Kahlen, and is joined by Amanda Collin (Raised by Wolves), who has been cast as Ann Barbara, a woman Kahlen encounters during his journey.
