Set for release in UK cinemas next June, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will finally be teased with a full official trailer this week. Whetting our appetites for the big reveal, Universal have launched a short clip showing just a glimpse of the action fans have in store, which you can check out below:
Directed by J.A. Bayona and starring the returning Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and original franchise star Jeff Goldblum, Fallen Kingdom will bring yet another chapter of chaos to the big screen, with new breeds of dinosaurs more terrifying than ever before making their debut. Derek Connolly and Colin Trevorrow co-wrote the movie’s screenplay, with Trevorrow also serving as an executive producer alongside Steven Spielberg.
BD Wong also returns, alongside co-stars James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones and Rafe Spall.
Not much is known about the plot of Fallen Kingdom other than it’ll see the characters trying to keep their prehistoric creatures under containment – and failing – all over again.
Serving as the sequel to the hugely successful 2015 release Jurassic World, which took in 1.672 billion in the worldwide box office ($652 million in the US alone), filmmakers and all those involved with Fallen Kingdom will be hoping for similar success, but will have to deliver a stellar storyline if they’re to do so.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom comes to cinemas on June 7, 2018. See the film’s first official trailer this Friday, December 8.
