Jurassic World architect and director Colin Trevorrow is to showcase the conclusion to his epic trilogy with Jurassic World Dominion, which takes place four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar.
What’s different about this concluding chapter in his story however, is that he’ll not only be bringing back the new characters introduced in the original Jurassic World movie, but the three legacy characters that defined the genre with Jurassic Park!
"Our storylines intersect", says Bryce Dallas Howard. "It's the convergence of the two franchises!"
Never-seen dinosaurs will also be joining the fray and, if the teasers and glimpses of the new film we get in the video above are anything to go by, then we're all in for a treat when Dominion makes its way to the big screen this summer.
Jurassic World Dominion also stars Chris Pratt, DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Isabella Sermon, Campbell Scott, Justice Smith, Scott Haze, Dichen Lachman and Daniella Pineda.
Trevorrow worked on the script with Emily Carmichael, adapted from a story he wrote with Derek Connolly and, based on characters created by author Michael Crichton.
Following on from the incredible Jurassic World and its jaw-dropping sequel was going to be no easy feat for Colin Trevorrow, so bringing back the three characters that helped ensure the franchise would be a timeless one, thanks to their incredible performances in the original trilogy, was perhaps the best way of ensuring his swan song is a success.
I'm extremely excited to see how everything's going to be wrapped up. I thought Jurassic World was a real treat and, whilst I didn't think much of Fallen Kingdom, I am hopeful that Treverrow and co. will ensure that this trilogy goes out with a bang.
Jurassic World Dominion roars into cinemas across the UK on June 10th, 2022.
