This week has been an exciting one for movie news, as John Wick 4 announces yet another cast member, Batman: The Long Halloween has been delayed, and Greenland is set to get a sequel; check all this out and more, below!

Greenland is getting a sequel
Greenland was an unexpected hit that arrived on Amazon Prime last year (2020), and it seems that the disaster movie, starring Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin, made a big enough impact for fans to want to see more.
The 2020 film followed Butler’s character John Garrity while he tried to get his wife Allison (Baccarin) and son Nathan (Roger Dale Floyd) to safety, as a giant meteor crashed down to Earth.
The sequel, titled Greenland: Migration and will once again focus on Garrity and his family as they must exit the safety of their bunker, and travel across the frozen lands of Europe to find somewhere safer to call home.
Greenland’s ending was a rather hopeful one, and didn’t seem to beg for a sequel. Despite this, the upcoming film should hopefully send some surprises our way and create a brilliant addition to the 2020 disaster movie.
Doctor Strange 2 is said to be scarier, due to its director
Michael Waldron, Loki and Doctor Strange’s head writer, has said that the sequel to the 2016 Marvel movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch will be scarier, due to Sam Rami’s involvement.
Rami, known for directing the first set of Spider-Man films (with Tobey Maguire), will be directing the upcoming Doctor Strange film titled Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. His direction for this film will be a little scarier that we may expect from a Marvel film, according to Waldron.
Along with Cumberbatch reprising his role as Sorcerer Supreme, we will also be catching up with Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, following the events of the Marvel and Disney+ show WandaVision.
Rami has a background in horror films, which seems to be the reason for him wanting to add a little spookiness to the sequel. Whatever happens, we’re sure that you’re just as excited as us to see how the Sorcerer and Scarlett Witch cross paths.
John Wick 4 casts Mortal Kombat’s Hiroyuki Sanada
There seems to be news regarding casting for John Wick 4 every week, and this week is no different! Star of Mortal Kombat (2021) Hiroyuki Sanada has joined the already exceptional roster for the exciting movie.
While details are rather sparse regarding the plot and even many actor’s roles, we know that the fourth instalment in this amazing franchise is set to up the anti even more. The third film from 2019 saw John Wick (Keanu Reeves) showcase his fighting skills and gunmanship abilities in a whole new way, and it’s safe to say that the next film will take the action to another level.
As the film already has a brilliant cast, the movie was rumoured to be eyeing up Wesley Snipes (Blade franchise) as a sword-wielding character; guess we’ll have to wait and see if Snipes picks up a blade once again!
Megan Fox stars in upcoming horror, Till Death
Megan Fox’s character Emma awakens to find out she has been handcuffed to her husband’s bloody corpse as part of a revenge plot.
Emma is of course the main character of this film, and it seems that whoever killed her husband will be back to finish the job. Instead of enjoying her winter weekend away, Emma will have to fight to survive as two hitmen are determined to finish their mission and take out their target.
Since Fox will be in many scenes on her own, the trailer shows her to have nailed this role and overtaken the physical challenges thrown her way. She really seems to shine in this movie, and her character’s willingness for survival is immense.
The scene which she drags her husband’s body across the floor not only shows determination, but also the hidden fact that she has been in a lifeless marriage for a long time; if this film can get this message across to audiences, who knows what else they’ll be able to do?
Till Death is scheduled to release in cinemas and on demand on July 2nd, 2021.
Batman: The Long Halloween is delayed due to The Batman
Animated two-partner Batman: The Long Halloween has been delayed due to Robert Pattinson-led movie The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves.
The development on The Batman has caused the animated movie to be pushed back; the film will be the 42nd animated DC adventure, and sees the titular hero investigate a set of murders that only seem to occur on holidays.
Supernatural star Jensen Ackles will be voicing the caped crusader, Troy Baker has been cast as The Joker, Billy Burke is Jim Gordon, and the late Naya Rivera is Catwoman. Part One of the animated movie will be released on June 22nd, 2021, and Part Two will release on July 27th, 2021.
The Batman will be set outside of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), and will focus on a Batman young enough to allow the character of Batman to shine through, but not too developed as that is the aim within this movie for Reeves; he wants to show not the journey from Bruce Wayne to Batman, but from young Batman to an older, seasoned detective and a masked vigilante that has learned from the mistakes we’re bound to see when the movie arrives in cinemas on March 4th, 2022.
