Inherent Vice is a movie that is already being tipped as a possible Oscar contender, as Paul Thomas Anderson returns to the director's chair.
Anderson has brought us movies such as There Will Be Blood and Magnolia, but this is his first film since The Master.
Inherent Vice sees Anderson reunite with Oscar nominated actor Joaquin Phoenix, as he brings together another all star cast.
Reese Witherspoon, Jena Malone, Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, Benicio Del Toro, Eric Roberts, and Maya Rudolph are just some of the other names on board. It really is one of the best ensemble casts of early 2015.
The brand new teaser trailer for the film has been released, and we have it for you to take a look at:
Anderson is no stranger to the Oscar spotlight, and he looks like he and his movie may be in it again when the nominations are announced at the beginning of 2015.
When private eye Doc Sportello's (Phoenix) ex-old lady suddenly out of nowhere shows up with a story about her current billionaire land developer boyfriend whom she just happens to be in love with, and a plot by his wife and her boyfriend to kidnap that billionaire and throw him in a loony bin... well, easy for her to say.
It's the tail end of the psychedelic `60s and paranoia is running the day and Doc knows that 'love' is another of those words going around at the moment, like 'trip' or 'groovy,' that's being way too overused - except this one usually leads to trouble.
Inherent Vice is released January 30th 2015.
