Ben Kingsley has joined the cast of Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book.
Kingsley is set to lend his voice to the character Bagheera in the new film, which is an adaptation of the book by Rudyard Kipling.
Kingsley joined an all-star cast, as Idria Elba and Scarlett Johansson are also on board to voice the characters of Shere Khan and python Kaa.
Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o has also been cast as Rakcha, the wolf who raises the boy as her own.
The movie will see Favreau return to the director's chair, in what will be his next big screen project after new film Chef.
The movie sees him Johansson for the third time after Iron Man 2 and Chef.
The ambitious new film will blend CGI and live actors in a 3D format from a script penned by Justin Marks, whose previous credits include 'Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li'.
'The Jungle Book' is set for release on October 9, 2015.
