Ben Kingsley says he was drawn to All Hail the King because of the script.
Kingsley has reprised the role of Trevor Slattery - a character we met for the first time in Iron Man 3 - for a brand new short film.
All Hail the King is written and directed by Iron Man 3 writer Drew Pearce, and features on the Thor: The Dark World DVD & Blu-Ray.
Speaking to Collider, the actor said: "The script was so beautiful. I never changed a line or distorted it. I might have added some nuance or rhythm to it that was perhaps unexpected even to Drew but I didn't stray off it at all.
"I love telling the story. I love being useful to the telling of the story - and his story was so charming in a way. Trevor's a very vulnerable man."
Kingsley went on to say that he really admired this character's ability to survive.
"And he's a great survivor. Even in prison, he creates his own environment.
"It's always good to find something in a character you admire and I admire Trevor's capacity to survive and adapt. He's a chameleon."
We are going to be seeing plenty of Kingsley on the big screen this year, as he has already completed work on Robot Overlord, Eliza Graves, The Boxtrolls and Learning To Drive.
Thor: The Dark World is out on DVD & Blu-Ray now.
