Vin Diesel has confirmed that there will be a sixth and seventh Fast and the Furious movies.
Fast Five was a massive hit when it was released this summer and Diesel admits that they couldn't fit everything that they wanted into a sixth film so it looks like a seventh is in the pipeline as well.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter the actor said: "With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn't have enough space.
"We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages.
"The studio said, 'You can't fit all that story in one damn movie!'"
Fast Five changed the direction of the franchise as it was not only a movie about boosting cars but it became a very successful heist film.
Directed by Justin Lin, Fast Five took in excess of $626 million at the global box office to become the most successful movie in the franchise.
