The sequel to the hit 2007 hit movie Transformers hasn't even his cinema screens yet but Dreamworks and Paramount have announced when the third movie will be released.
The third instalment of the popular robot franchise will hit cinemas on July 1, 2011, however it is yet unknown whether cast members Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox will be returning.
But this release date could prove to be costly for the movie as it finds itself in the middle of a packed summer as Spiderman 4, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, Captain America and possibly Iron Man II are all to be released around the same time.
This summer sees the pair return to their roles as Sam and Mikela in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as they once again find themselves caught in the middle of a war between the Autobots and the Decepticons.
Directed by Michael Bay Transformers grossed over $708 million at the global box office when it was released two years ago, easily making back it's $150 million budget.
But the new movie was forced to delay shooting when Shia LaBeouf, who is returning to the role that propelled him to fame, was involved in a car accident injuring his hand that required surgery.
The actor was also injured on set when he was hit in the eye with a prop requiring stitches.
