Romantic Comedy The Ugly Truth held off blockbuster G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra to top the UK box office.
By the narrowest of margins the comedy, which sees Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler join forces, nicked the top spot grossing almost £2 million in it's opening weekend.
Abby Richter is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single.
She's in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway, a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick.
G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra had to settle for second spot, despite topping the U.S box office this week. A sequel to the big budget blockbuster has already been announced.
Last week's number one Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince slipped to number three but the movie has grossed £44 million in this country alone.
G-Force fell two places from two to four while The Proposal fell one place from four to five to round off the top five.
The only other new entry inside the top ten this week was horror movie Orphan. And the week's biggest faller was The Taking of Pelham 123 as it fell three places from three to six.
